When Nordstrom acquired the prestigious Façonnable brand, they were looking to refresh and refocus its image, while maintaining its deep, romantic French roots. We were hired to work closely with both the French company, and the group at Nordstrom to bring an invigorated look, tone and feel to the brand.
We started by crystallizing the brand platform, to define what the brand stood for in the hearts and minds of its valued consumers. Paying respect to Albert Goldberg, the visionary who started the company in 1950, was core to the positioning.
We created and produced a 50th Anniversary Gala Event, and a commemorative documentary film that captured the brand’s rich history, and the original vision of Albert Goldberg. Each garment was to be special with unexpected details. Building on this, we created advertising campaigns and image pieces with a unique point of view and interesting use of color, to bring freshness and newness to this legendary brand.
